It is time to salute the winner of our ROCKING Stepdog ‘Powered by Music’ competition.
This was a serious battle royale boys and girls. We thank everyone for sending through their votes for their favorites and for telling all their friends.
We had highly talented designers such as Matsanni, Simon and Vcalahan, all shouldering to cross the line in first position.
However in the end it was South African designer Hannovanzyl who took the win with his submission, simply entitled, Stepdog.
This design has so much going for it and the band really felt that it would suit their image going forward.
I love the almost painted erratic style of the dog he has created….it looks like a wolf howling at the moon.
I really can’t wait to get my hands on this design, it is too awesome for words!
What do you guys all think of our latest winner?
We think that Hannovanzyl has really gone out of his way here and we hope that he submits another design very, very soon…perhaps for our HANSA competition we are currently accepting subs for.
To top off his victory it must be put into perspective: this is his very first submission.
Yep, it is not very often that a designer shows up on the Springleap scene and in his first compo takes the win. It’s aaaaaalmost unheard of.
BIG CONGRATS from the team!
Thanks again to Stepdog’s sponsor Turbovite for making this competition happen and also to the Springleap team for ensuring that everything moved like clock-work.

Telana Simpson is running a project called One Matchstick and has recently joined forces with Springleap.com to challenge you in a brand new t-shirt design competition!

One Matchstick was started by Telana in 2006. Her idea was to trade one matchstick as many times as possible by building value and eventually end up with offices which she will use for mentoring a start-up entrepreneurial enterprise.
So how far has Telana already traded her matchstick up? It went from a matchstick to a pen, eventually to some cash, which she traded for a hot-air balloon ride, her ninth and last trade was a party for 150 people!
Now Telana is looking for someone to trade 375 Springleap.com t-shirts with! Visit One Matchstick for more information.
As far as the brand new Springleap.com themed t-shirt design competition is concerned here’s what you have to do: Design the Official One Matchstick t-shirt!

Outer space here we come!
With the return of Star Trek and the rise of all things spaced out, fashion trends today tend to be leaning toward science fiction inspired art more than ever!
Anybody involved in the world of art in fashion now has the opportunity of reaching for the stars for inspiration! I think this is the coolest fashion I’ve seen since I was born. YES, it really grabs my attention!
Design is changing in so many ways. So t-shirt designers, I hope you’re taking note of what’s hot and what’s not. I reacon a sci-fi design would kick but on Springleap.com.
