Springleap Roll-over Open theme

Springleap Roll-over Open theme

Greetings greetings!

I have some super huge news for all you guys and girls!

Springleap.com has made a big decision in regards to theme competitions….that being, we have decided to stop running the specific theme competitions (eg: Some like it hot, Environmental, Elements…etc) and have opted to only run our extremely popular Open theme competitions.

The Open theme competitions are those that have no specific directive. That means you can submit absolutely any design you want, even if it’s a past design of yours that didn’t win.
The Springleap Roll-over Open theme is here…bring it on!

But wait there’s more!
Unfortunately, the last theme competition didn’t work out. So what we did to make up for it was roll-over the prize money and add it to the latest Open theme competition.
That means the prize money stands at a whopping R8000….or roughly US$1000!!
Now if that isn’t incentive to submit some designs, I don’t know what is!
We feel that this will be the best move for the Springleap.com community. It offers our designers more freedom to express themselves and to take their game to the next level.
Also as a company we will be able to bring all you t-shirt lovers even cooler t-shirts.

Please cruise across and check out the main posting on the Springleap Roll-over Open theme.

Good luck everyone.

Some of you may have seen that Springleap.com has done a huge overhaul of its visual layout. ‘look and feel’.
We want you to celebrate our new ‘look and feel’ with us by taking part in a little feedback competition.

All we need to know from you is what your feelings are on the new look!

The competition rules are easy as pie:
Take a look at the old look and feel of our HOME PAGE and compare it with our new slick look, I have added an image at the top so that you can have a better idea of what has changed.

What kind of look do you feel we were aiming for?
The guy or girl who gives us the best, most informative comment will win any 2 of our groovy T-shirts.

Tutorials and Advice for designers

banner

Greetings friends.

Here is some great news for all of you aspiring designers that are looking for the tools to take your game to the next level.

Springleap.com has now launched its very own Tutorials and Advice for designers.
This section has been a long time coming. I don’t know how many requests I have received asking for advice on designs and general hints & tips in the past….in any case it was LOTS!

Basically the Tutorials and Advice for designers section is filled with anything from write-ups on various subjects to links for online video tutorials.
It’s not only a vault of tutorials, but it also strives to give designers a serious cache of inspirational discussions, in order to get those creative juices flowing.

Thus far we have had articles on creating custom fonts, vintage effects and using transparency tricks.
The articles may not be specific for the requirements of the actual Springleap competition, but also cater to designers other interests.

We also want to empower our designers by giving them guidance in regards to their submissions which go beyond physical design. For instance I put together a blog that revolves around Submission Write-ups and how they can affect community votes. Important stuff that may go underneath the average designer’s radar.

There is something for everyone, so jump across and take a lookie at our Tutorials and Advice for designers blog for yourself.
