David Arquette does Propr fashion?

propr stuffI cringe in fear when I hear about celebrity fashion labels?

David Arquette, who I’m sure many of you will know for his role as the happy-go-lucky police officer from the Scream slasher-flicks, has teamed up with a musician called Ben Harper , to put together their own fashion label called Propr.

To be honestly I had never heard of Harper until recently…thank you Wiki and Youtube for filling in the gaps.

The style is urban and pretty slick…the ‘trendoids’ would prob pick it up with a fury.
Nothing that I have seen thus far really takes my fancy, but the ladies range looks like it has promise. Maybe I will hunt down a piece online (I will blog about it for def)

I have added a few videos to my posting on this subject on Springleap.
Join in the conversation there when you get a chance!
Everyone knows how pedantic I am about tee designs. Which is why I roast his tee design for XO clothing.
Honestly its just a lil bit of writing on a plain white tee…can only imagine how much the tee costs.
Just because it was done by a famous dude they knock the price waaaay up…and for what. BAH!

I much prefer our awesome tees here at Springleap, hellllll yeah!!!!

The above pics are taken from their normal range. You can see what I mean about the ladies collection having hope, the guys…well the guys is a tad camp.

I’m very interested to see what this company can do and if it will take off properly….and also, who makes the decisions on what gets produced.

Do you think these garments are PROPR?

Roll-Over voting

Roll-Over submissionsRoll-Over voting has now commenced boys and girls.

Take a wild guess how many amazing designs were approved and are now available to the community for voting? 30, 40….60?
Try a maddening 81 approved designs!!!!!!!
How BRILLIANT is that.

Yes indeed the Open Theme format looks like the definite way to go for future competitions. While the prize money for this specific Roll-Over Open Theme is higher than the usual (US$1000), I still feel like these specific competitions are really going to grow from strength to strength.
Just from looking at the Roll-Over voting thus far I can see a refreshed vigor and energy in the designers and community itself.

When you jump across to the Springleap.com voting page you will realize just how many designs there are to get through…whew, it might take a while but it is way way waaaaaaaay worth it!
At the moment I’m still unsure of which designs I personally want to walk away with the coveted win.
However, until I make my choices, take a look at the 3 very different designs I have placed in the blog image above.

From left to right we have:
Olla Nino by OLLABOKU
Kghaeh Kghaeh by Kingslip
Catfish Wienerdog by SteveOramA

Well there we have it.
I will keep you all updated on the latest happenings with the Open Theme Roll-Over voting.
Seriously, get across and make your opinion heard….the designs are madmadMAD!!!!
