First off let me shoot a big HIPHIP HOORAY to our latest Springleap.com Diamind who came out tops in another closely contested battle…then again most of these competitions seem to come down to the wire.
Big up for the twisted design entitled Humanity will be next.
Diamind is an artist who has a great future in design ahead. He is still young and is in the lucky position to live in the Netherlands, which is a serious hub for artistic talent.
It’s always a pleasure to see international artist taking note of Springleap.com and bouncing through some of their mega designs.
Humanity will be next is certainly a design that makes you do a double-take.
First you are confused about what exactly the character is and then you are perplexed at what his intentions are. Needless to say I reckon it’s time to lock your doors and windows people.
This little character looks like some kind of human hunting animated bush…rather scary actually, that better be tomato sauce on his axe.
Maybe we should brandish our flame throwers and drive Woody back into the wild.
Ah, just in case you didn’t know Woody is the name of his human-felling bush character, unfortunately I can’t give you a name for his wriggly lookout who sits atop his bushy fro…all we know is that this worm has the keenest eye sight in the forest.
It’s amazing how art has crept into the world of fashion. I’m so glad it has, because the fusion of art in fashion has made me want to be a part of it.
Springleap.comembraces art in an unconventional way and t-shirt competitions are becoming a worldwide trend! By now you know the benefits of a website like Springleap.com are endless and it’s awesome that opportunities for designers are becoming so well known.
The topic of innovative art in fashion has got me really excited of late, because I keep coming across the most weird and wonderful artwork. Japanese artistFumie Sasabuchi is no exception…
Although her art sways from physical design on t-shirts and other apparel it carries a deeper message that ties in with art and fashion very mysteriously. Her work is pushing the ‘art in fashion’ envelope by giving it a totally different meaning.
Fumie re-works fashion photography from magazines into a scene of death. The fashion zombies she creates explores the boundaries of what is accepted in fashion in terms of typical Western culture by exploiting the flexibility of art in fashion.
What is gorgeous on the surface wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for the beauty of anatomy. She shows us underlying beauty and fiddles with the concept of death. It’s creepy, but wonderful art! See more of her art in fashion at Artnet.com
I have found my idol and I’m in love!
Have you ever gotten’ the fuzzy ‘love tingle’ from merely setting your eyes on something beautiful?
This is the only time love at first sight has hit me and I need to share it with you!
I was searching Beautiful/Decay Magazine’s online shop for original t-shirts. They started Artists Series Apparel so that they could do something more for some of the artists and designers they feature in the magazine. The most popular products on the site are the t-shirts (which are really cool designs), but they have an array of other apparel aswell. I loved this concept, so I had a look and came across this amazing design…
Of course I just had to know who the artist was behind this cool design. Her name is Aya Kato and each and every one of her pieces are amazingly detailed and captivating. Being Japanese, her illustration style is cunningly oriental with a surreal twist. Do yourself a favour and take a better look at her artwork gallery on ayakato.net
Cool designs make incredibly cool t-shirts. Can you imagine how she would kick ass in ANY t-shirt competition! Art in fashion is making it big all over the world, so step your talents up a notch and get creative guys!
Now I’d like to know: “Who is your favourite t-shirt artist / designer ?”
Oh my blue heavens!!!!
Lock up your cattle and stick on your tin foil hat…TokyoGoGo has done it again!
Yesterday it was announced that he had once again scooped a top spot in the Springleap.com design competition with his epic CropPixelsdesign.
Can you believe it???? Well actually yes I can believe it LOL.
CropPixels is a masterful design incorporating conspiracy theories and a generous helping of retro video game power.
I’m sure everybody is well aware of the phenomenon of crop circles, where fields are flattened in peculiar shapes by some unknown force.
Many people believe that it is caused by alienspacecraft for some, as yet, unknown purpose…maybe it’s for landing coordination, maybe to impart knowledge to hippies…or then again maybe it’s just to confuse humans in general while they laugh at us from space.
The crop circle that has been represented in CropPixels is actually a pixel character from an old retro game called Space Invaders…hence the alien tie in and hilarity…still don’t catch it? Oh well
