Ok, so I know we are all used to the odd bad adverts, but every now and then a real whopper comes my way and I just can’t keep it to myself. Usually it has to do with idiot actors or dialogue that makes my ears bleed…not literally, that would be gross.
However, this winner is actually taken from a small little interiors book called SA Decor & Design – The Mini Buyer’s Guide.
The transgressor: Stair Art.
These days we are pretty used to the whole “sex sells” play in advertising. The fact of the matter is that it works. Millions of punters across the globe can’t keep check on their emotions and end up being captivated by happy shiny people airing their more “important features”. Hey, it’s happened to me, it’s happened to you…it’s not a sin. Ok actually it is LOL! Stair Art, is a company that makes exquisite staircases! They make everything from cantilever to floating glass staircases. Heck, these guys will even make you a hotcustom designed staircase, that will make people’s eyes water with jealousy. So what went wrong with the advertising guys? With such creative design ideas, I was sure that at least one of you would protest against the go ahead for this rather sordid advertisement.
Well, have I got a deal for you! Our specials table here in the springleap.com store in Sea Point has just been loaded with some awesome older designs for an unbelievable price. Nothing funny or in any way is there a catch, it’s just that they’re a little aged and can’t keep up with the ever stronger ‘new guys.’ J So why not come in and score an amazing deal on a couple of original tees while they’re still dirt cheap and avoid the spring rush, because when summer hits it’ll all be over.
The bargain bench (I’ve unofficially announced) is practically screaming in protest at the amount of tees we’ve jammed on. Basically there are three ‘new’ designs that have been moved across which are Kid Roar, Wooden face and Don’t Care Bear that are joining an already epic force of t-shirts. These awesome, cool, crazy, fantastic tees are all R 59 and are the last of the range so unless we do a reprint in a design, which is highly unlikely at the moment with all the new designs being submitted all the time, this will be the last time to get your grubby little paws on these little treasures.
Well that’s about it for today just like to finish off on our winning design for the first half of this month. Well done Cmatos, a wonderful design that deserves the recognition. Hope to see some more.

We need somebody who is friendly, helpful and above all else reliable.
If you think you are the right guy/girl for the job get hold of me anytime.
If you came to the eSquared website from seeing the flyer on Facebook - welcome! This is the first time we’ve tried using the Facebook Flyer to get more people to know about our funky clothing shops, and we’re glad you’ve stopped by.
For the rest of you that are now totally clueless as to what i’m talking about, Facebook allows business’s and I guess anyone else to advertise to people through a “flyer” - they call it the Facebook Flyer. It’s different to normal advertising, as the Facebook Flyer lets you quickly put together a banner that includes an image and a few lines of text - so in the click of a button you have a Facebook Flyer that is actually a banner.
And eSquared being on the cutting edge of clothing has decided it’s worth blowing our marketing budget testing out Facebook as it’s CUTTING EDGE MARKETING! We could be the FIRST in Cape Town to be using Facebook Flyer’s to tell people about eSquared - so we spoke to our bank manager, and he has kindly let us take $10 out of our savings account to put 5000 Facebook Flyers in front of guys (and girls - we went for both options as we think girls will like eSquared just as much as the guys), who have selected Cape Town and the Western Cape as their Facebook Network option.
So if you’ve just arrived from Facebook after having seen the Facebook Flyer - WELCOME!!!!
