With so many awesome theme competitions lately, as well as the Open Theme compos, it’s easy to forget that our Springleap Us competition is still running.
Well I’m here to tell you that it is most certainly still going…and still, ROCKING!
This is a very unique competition that we are running boys and girls. The Springleap Us theme is all about you getting involved with Springleap.com in a much more profound, lasting way, than ever before. The winner of this competition will not only make some great money, get huge exposure and have their design become our official Springleap.com t-shirt, but also have the chance of having their design integrated into our new theme for the website itself. WOW!
The Springleap us competition has been extended and will be closing on the 27th of July, which means that you have plenty of time to get your own wicked designs through to us.
If this theme competition has shown me anything, it is the fact that designing a logo for a company isn’t as easy as everyone thinks. No sir, you have to not only deliver an eye catching design, but it also needs to holdtrue to the overall spirit and energy of the brand itself.
Whilst perusing the submissions so far, I can see that many people have designed fun logo’s, but at the same time seem to “drop” the proverbial ball when they execute their designs.
Football mania is sweeping the nation as the final countdown looms for the BIGkickoff.
The air is electric with anticipation and the multitudes of various tourists from all across the globe can be felt everywhere.
It’s fantastic to see so many people out wearing their football jerseys, even though it’s not “Football Friday”. I don’t have a football jersey myself, but I feel compelled to wear lots of yellow and green. GO Bafana!!!!
I’m ashamed to admit that up until recently I was one of those people who resisted the pull of the football mania. It is the commercial suck that I sought to thwart. It makes my hair stand on end when company after company use the World Cup as an advertising tool. Well, I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised. These companies will do it anyway, even if they come across as completely fake. Dude I’ve even seen some can company advertising their stuff with a dancing crowd all holding their cans with lil SA flags on them. Can you say CHEAP!
Luckily for me over sensitive advertisingfilter has backed down a little and has allowed me to open up my heart to the whole World Cup affair! The football mania has got me excited for the games themselves. All the openingceremony and concert stuff I’m not especially interested in. However I just can’t wait for the first whistle and the football assault. Boys and girls, these are the best football players on Earth….to have them all on SA soil, all at the same time is something truly special.
