Rabobi, Rabobi winning design

Rabobi winner

Hi there one and all.

Another glorious theme competition has come to a close and we celebrate the winning designer by doing little jumps for joy and screaming HOORAY!!!!
The Justice League theme competition was always going to be a closely contested battle between some really motivated designers, however only one could triumph and I’m happy to say that the choice is a design that will undoubtedly become one of the few “Springleap.com classics”.
Congratulations go out to WolFox for his absolutely killer cool retro
Rabobi, Rabobi design.

Basically if you grew up around the same time I did in South Africa you would have seen mega cool Spiderman cartoons that were translated into Setswana. Not only was it a cool cartoon but it had some of the funniest theme song dialogue I have ever heard, such as, “Uppercut KO one time!”
Yes indeed it was very South African hehehe.
The Rabobi, Rabobi design is a super hero design that speaks directly to our own society and our past. Every time I see this design by WolFox my mind is cast back to the days when I used to dress up in my very own Spiderman costume and leap from couch to couch.

Vintage Vibes and Radical Retro

Vintage Vibes and Radical Retro

Salutations friends!

Get ready for the next super hot Springleap.com theme competition! I really feel as if this latest compo has lots of potential and that there are plenty of artists out there who will want to get involved. Ladies and gentlemen without further deviation I give you the Vintage Vibes and Radical Retro theme competition.

Yes thats right everyone it’s a full on old school design assault that will leave us doing the hippy hippy shake and wondering what the hell DVD’s are!
As the name implies the Vintage Vibes and radical Retro theme competition is all about casting our minds back to the days of our parents and their parent’s parents and coming up with a design that truly captures the moods, styles and inclinations of the past.

This competition is pretty open about what is acceptable, a long as you keep it in the realm of the retro/ vintage arena. Think retro as early as Yoyo’s and as old school retro as the 1920 with their classic style mobsters and jazz infused society.
Honestly anything from the past can be retro…but there is a fine line between iconic retro and simply “old”.
