unique Star Wars pictures

unique Star Wars pictures

In a galaxy far far away actors squabble over lines and struggle to squeeze into outrageous costumes.

For as long as I can remember Star Wars has been a movie franchise that has really led the way for science fiction. Growing up as a boy I was always captivated and wished that I could become a Jedi and save the universe from the likes of the Sith. As I grew older I realized that it wasn’t a perfect world and that the chances of me owning my very own light sabre were about as remote as me making the president of SA….ok not as impossible as that LOL!
So, what I did was stop thinking about becoming a Jedi and rather start to think about what it must have been like to work on movies like those of the Star Wars universe.

We only see Star Wars represented in their final stage of production, but we never think about what the actors must have experienced as they worked on set. I stumbled across some unique Star Wars pictures that really made me smile. There are numerous cool shots of the actors and crew getting up to mischief and having a bit of fun. Can you imagine seeing Princess Leia throwing back a few beers? Well imagine no more, check out one of the pics in my blog image with Carrie Fisher holding up a beer…it really does make me laugh. I guess we know what the rebels got up to after they blew up the Death Star hehehe!

designers with potential

Potential designers

Hi there one and all.

Springleap.com isn’t simply about the best designers battling it out for a top spot whilst the multitude of developing artist sit on the sidelines and watch helplessly. No sir, we encourage designers from all works of life to enter the competition and give it their best shot. There are so many designers with potential out there that it’s scary. Every single competition we have at least 2 totally new designers that submit work that you can see will one day be something great.

In our latest competition Justice League we have two designers that I feel should be mentioned for their efforts. The first being Darnyill with his “very muscled” design Nu-Rave takes over. In this super hero inspired competition Darnyill decided to create his very own superhero with a combination of detail and funky retro colour…or perhaps raver style better suits the description.
The reason I say Darnyill is one of the designers with potential is because there is a great deal of detail in this design and an overall strong concept. Truth to tell the only reason this design falls slightly
flat is because of the use of colour which is a tad overpowering set against the character which is represented in one colour. Besides the colour issue the character is super kewl, I just love his massive muscled style and small little head.
Yep watch this space guys and girls, this is a designer that could be going places if he simply sticks with it.
Go Go Darnyill!!!!
