X-Men: First Class

X-Men- First Class

Greetings movie fans.

Here is a touch of good news for all of you out there who truly enjoy the superhero movie mania that has been sweeping the world these past few years. It seems that a prequel to the first X-men movie is already underway. This is indeed great news. However the comic book worry warts, like myself, are already poised for another disastrous Hollywood movie shredding of a well known comic storyline.
X-Men: First Class is on its way boys and girls!

Ok first let me give you the good news Bryan Singer who directed X-men and X2 is on board to bring you the original story of the early days of the X-men at the Xavier Institute. Look the first and second X-men movies were average, but I still feel that it was not a truly accurate portrayal of the well known comic book legend.

For those of you who have never heard of X-Men: First Class, basically it is the story of the very first X-men and how they became one of the most powerful superhero groups in the Marvel universe.
The original team consisted of Cyclops, Jean (Marvel Girl), Angel, Iceman and Beast.
I’m very intrigued to see how they will link good old Iceman into the original team line up, considering they decided to make him a teenager in the first X-men movie. Whenever I read up about the older comics I always get so despondent…I know I shouldn’t and that I should look at it as if it is a completely new universe, but sometimes it’s just too difficult to detach myself.

Potential winners

potential winners no1

Hi there Springleapers.

As far as potential winners go we seem to really be having a hard time pinpointing the designs that will come in tops for our Battle of the Best theme competition. Yes there are the obvious favourites and I have listed my Top 5 designs, but so much can happen between now and the final day of voting. To pay homage to the designs that have been submitted for this awesome compo, I felt that I should give as many of the deserving designs a mention as humanly bloggingly possible.

Dino Mite Mountain by Warholbot is pretty much one of the best designs I have personally seen in the Battle of the Best. Warholbot has actually submitted a few designs and each one of them has super design might!
As far as being a member of the potential winner’s crew, I suspect that this design will land in the top 10…if my ESP design selection power is working as it should. I’m a tad sceptical that it will make it all the way to number 1 spot, but then again stranger things have happened. Dino Mite Mountain is a rather punny take on the figurative and literal meaning of dynamite with the Dino Mite mountain meaning…quite clever actually.
I definitely suggest that you go across to the main Springleap.com page and have a look at the enlarged main image…soooo much detail went into this design.
