The Enviro Mental theme competition is budding with some seriously cool natural designs. Very soon we will crown our top tree-hugging submission and start taking the votes for the Wright Stuff.
Man, time sure does fly when you are receiving top quality design!
It is now time however to cast our minds into the future and start summoning up our creative power for the last competition announcement for the year. The Springleap.comYe-LOL-ow theme competition is coming up super soon.
It’s all about fun, gags and side splitting laughter, on a happy yellow canvas.
Celebrations are in order!
Yes indeed the latest Springleap.com winner has been announced. The Living Dead theme competition was always going to be a heavily contested battle. However the battle had a surprise ending for me. This time around the lucky winner is somebody that we already know quite well. Congratulations to CHUCKY with his second winning submission Got your back.
Before anyone says it….I know! I know that I am cursed and that 80% of the time I seem to jinx designs that should in my opinion win the compo. It seems that my curse is rather erratic at this point…but hey, hopefully I will shake it soon enough. CHUCKY may not have been in my top 3 picks, but that doesnt mean his design is not brilliant. CHUCKY is def worthy of being The Living Dead winner.
Many of you will already know CHUCKY’s awesome winning design from the Township Bling theme competition. Taxi Wars was a firm favourite, with a great balance of design might. This time around CHUCKY used simplicity and clever discourse, to make a truly deserving winner.
Yep, Got your back is definitely a funny design! I have no doubts that this design will be hugely popular in the store as well as online.
Swinging from a rope above a sprawling bazaar, his trusty dagger in hand, as he escapes from the Sultans ruthless soldiers. Who else could I be talking about? Aladdin of course!
The age old children’s tale is back…although this time it’s definitely not for the kids. Radical Comics has released a seriously macabre version of the Aladdin that most of us know and love.
Aladdin is raised in a brothel after his mother dies. In this dark environment new Aladdin learns about the ugliness of the underworld and the evils men are capable of. In this darker version of Shambhalla, Aladdin grows into a venomous young man who uses his cunning and deep insight into human nature to meet his own ends. He is a far cry from the big eyed, sweetDisney version that most of us visualize. This new Aladdin is no nice dude!
In this version of new Aladdin, our hero has a secretbirthright that he does not even know about. Running through his veins is mystical blood, which is the key to obtaining the powerful entity called the Djinn (genie if you will). The evil sorcerer Qassim knows of his power and seeks to use him in order to gain the power for himself.
Yes indeed, t-shirts have come a long way since the days of mine couture LOL.
The t-shirt has become a canvas of expression in our modern age. They tell the people around us what we love, what we hate and what we stand for. The t-shirts are one of the only truly universal garments worn around the world by pretty much every single culture.
You can’t beat a t-shirt
It took the humble t-shirt quite few years to emerge, as a true universal garment. First used in hot working conditions by miners and then eventually in the American navy. The t-shirt was the perfect garment to use whilst working in harsh climates, like submarines.
The t-shirts first giant leap into the commercial market, was when it was adopted as the “first choice” for younger boys to wear. T-shirts were inexpensive and easy to clean, which meant a hellova lot less admin for moms.
