Bad Milkshakes

milkshakes

Greetings one and all.

Here is a bit of a strange blog for you: bad milkshakes.
Yep those delectable drinks that make u all shudder with sugary glee!
I’m a fan…to be sure!
Wherever I go, I make sure to try milkshakes, because like any culinary delight they are all so completely different.

My absolute favourite “quick milkshake” is probably from good ol Steers. But at the top of my milkshake list is a chain restaurant in England called Gourmet Burger Kitchen. They serve them in the steel mixers and let me tell you, they taste insanely good.
This brings me to my next point: what is my absolute worst milkshake.

In all honesty, as my girlfriend says, “it’s very difficult to stuff up a milkshake.”
Last night however I found a place that made a momentously catastrophic milkshake…that being Cafe Sofia.

Now don’t get me wrong, Cafe Sofia is actually pretty good. I love their breakfast menu and even the coffee aint half bad. But, by the great ghost of Caesar, the milkshake made me feel pretty gross.

What I’m trying to work out is what made it such a bad milkshake.
We have come to the conclusion that it’s is either the ice cream they used, or the syrup…personally I think its the syrup. I’ve never tasted ice cream like that before. Yucky.
Just for the record, none of the ingredients were off.

I’m hoping for their sake that it was just a painful anomaly, in an otherwise great milkshake.
But unfortunately , normally awesome, Cafe Sofia has been labelled as my “bad milkshake” place.
I’m almost too scared to try another flavour, in case I end up only having half my milkshake again.

Sad times boys and girls. IF it’s a nice brekkie you want, Cafe Sofia is great. As for milkshakes….well, rather head for Steers or Wimpy.

Peace out.

D.
