As you all know, Summer is the time of fun, sun and music. The Cape region is well renowned for its endless stream of outdoor music festivals. Very few of them however stand head and shoulders above the rest. The thing about these outdoor events is that they only really cater for a specific music type…depending on which one you attend. Groovy Troopers and Vortex for trance, or Rocking the Daisies for the rockers.
There is one event that fully incorporates various genres of music and rolls it into one big experience. This event is obviously Synergy Live.
Synergy Live is one of those events that brings people together, no matter where they come from or their respective music styles. I just can’t wait to get a load of the venue, which will be held on the super famous Boschendal wine estate in Franschoek.
Its gonna be BEAUTIFUL!
There will be 4 different stages: The Main Stage, Electro-Drome, Bar Stage and Urban Beats Stage.
The Main stage will play host to most of the action. More than 30 insanely good local acts will bring the festival goers to their dancing feet. The stage itself is state of the art and will be a thrill of international levels.
The mains stage will include bands such as Dirty Skirts, Sick Leaves, Aking and Taxi violence. Shooo, now that is a mega line-up.
This stage opens at 12am and pumps all the way until 12pm. That is a lot of dancing!
The Electro-Drome? Wasnt that where Shredder hung out n Dimension X?
LoL, nope, it’s the stage that will hold host to the best in electronic sounds. Whether you are into trance, house or electro, it’s all here. There is a serious list of DJ’s that will be spinning their stuff.

I reckon this stage will be blasting music into the wee-hours of the morning. Definitely the stage for people with waaaay too much energy!
Next up we have the Bar Stage. This stage is more for the laid back types. DJ’s, will play the best in old school tunes from the 80’s & 90’s. Local talent will also be playing unplugged sets for the crowds pleasure.
I reckon this will be a very popular stage…especially when people need somewhere to recover from the blasting music of the Main Stage and Electro-Drome.
The final stage is the Urban Beats Stage. This one will be split into 2 evenings of different genres of tunes.
Friday: This night will be ruled by crazy Hip hop and funk tunes. True urban jams.
Saturday: It’s all about House music baby. The best house music you have heard since…well the last time u heard good house music.
This stage is sure to attract a very diverse group of characters.
So as you can see we have a true melting pot of music power for the Synergy Live event.
This event will undoubtedly set a new benchmark for outdoor summer parties in South Africa. It cuts segregation up into little pieces and scatters them to the wind. Everyone is welcome! I also have no doubt that everyone will find something to set themselves free, so that they can dance until their feet fall off.
This is going to be a BIG ONE boys and girls.
