Greetings friends.
Springleap.com has now been around for more than a year and a half and continues to grow from strength to strength. When we first started the company we were driven to not only help expose the best up and coming design talent, but also to bring you a top quality garment that would stand up against the quality of foreign brands…things have not changed in this regard. We have tweaked and we have fiddled, we have asked your advice and we have scoured SA for the best cotton and printing facilities. Finally it seems that we have a winning combination of all these factors and are now moving into extremely positive territory in regards to design.
Ladies and gents I give you Springleap.com Generation 5!
First off let’s chat about the cotton that will be used for the t-shirts. The cotton will be 160 gram export grade quality, which has also been certified by Woolworths, who are some extremely sticky customers when it comes to quality. The cotton itself will also be pre-shrunk, which just makes your lives that bit more easier.
So as you can see, we have gone flat out in order to bring you the best, whilst also keeping the price affordable. Magic stuff team!
The next major change for Springleap.com generation 5 is the inner neck binding, which has been changed so that it is not the exact same colour as the rest of the t-shirt, like we have done up until Generation 4. I have to say the inner neck binding is looking damn cool. It gives the t-shirt a more evolved and well rounded look, which in many people’s opinion also makes it look more expensive…but of course it’s still the same awesome price.
So what colour inner neck binding will each colour t-shirt use?
Here is the list of colour mixes:
black-white, grey-white, white-blue, yellow-white, red-black, midnight blue-grey, sky blue-white, emerald green-white, brown-blue, white-blue.
The Springleap.com logo, artist and design name has also moved from their original spot of the top of the neck on the back and is now situated on the back bottom right hand corner, which I definitely prefer.
I’ve actually had quite few people comment that the older positioning was too in your face and that a more subtle lower placement would look muuuuch better. I guess those people have finally got their wish.
Another element of the old position is that, especially with the ladies, longer hair hung down and blocked the logo and artist info…which is just not cricket
The overall sizing of the t-shirt with length and width has also changed. If you would like to see how the size has been modified in our new Springleap.com Generation 5, please click HERE.
I’m totally blown away by the improved look and cut. If you are in the Sea Point area come on in and say howzit, I will show you the changes that have been made to the t-shirt design.
Good things are certainly coming my friends. This current cut is only going to get better. I have no doubts that we will make changes in the future…however this will all be for the greater good in regards to quality and comfort.
Do you have any cool ideas for improvements to our already styling Springeap t-shirts? I would love to hear your opinion on our new cut and your thoughts on possible changes.
Springleap.com is a constantly evolving community that takes the opinions of its members very seriously.
Duncs.
