Hey All, well today marked another one of those strange dates populating our calendar, 09/09/09. It may seem arbitrary but the calendar is something so central to modern global life it is hard to ignore, in fact it is the map of Time itself. 

In Chinese Culture 9 is regarded as very auspicious and is associated with particularly good fortune, The Dragon and The Emperor. 9 Has a very specific properties in  Mathematics as the sum of digits of numbers derived from multiples of 9 are themselves always a multiple of 9 and in Vedic Culture 9 represents God, and the number 108 ( 1+0+8 =9) represents the whole of existence and there  are countless re-occurrences of the number through Indian mathematics and culture.   It biblical terms nine represents final judgment or completion, It is 3X3 which represents Divine completeness. So we can see a triple nine is particularly significant.

Even more interesting is the work of Carl- Johan Calleman, an authority on the Mayan culture and their obsession with Time, calendars and 2012. Calleman plotted the evolutionary course of life from single celled organisms to our modern society and found striking correspondences to Mayan Pyramids, Mayan Calendars and technological advances. Calleman says of the date 09/09/09 , “I believe that through these three steps, three Sacred Calendar rounds, starting on 9.9.9: … the level of the evolution of the cosmos in the universe is now about to deliver what it has been striving towards all along, the establishment of a new level of consciousness, a unity consciousness.”

So with all this hoohaaa about  9 , the coolcat with 9 lives, it’s always refreshing to remember  as this Threadless Tee says  that seven is still lucky…
