Hiya all you music lovers out there.
There seem that there has been an explosion of local music talent in SA over the past few years. However, very few of these new emerging bands are actually any good…well perhaps that is not phrased exactly right. They are good but unfortunately their sound gets old very quickly and they do little to separate themselves from their peers.
Also the average South African faces an uphill battle when it comes to making money. It’s near impossible for any music new band to be able to play gigs and still feed themselves.
There is one band that I really do appreciate. They work hard and do their best to get their lives on-track to superstardom. They are Cat String Theory….and they ROCK!
On top of being extremely professional and awesome musicians, they are a truly groovy bunch of dudes, who treat their fans like family.
Cat String Theory is well known by Springleap.com, because they love our stuff. We appreciated it super mega as they always wear our t-shirts to gigs. There is nothing cooler than seeing your t-shirt designs on-stage with a passionate bunch of musos giving it horns.
This Wednesday Cat String Theory will be playing in a sort of “Battle of the bands” at R.O.A.R, against several other awesome upcoming bands.
Do yourself a favour and pull in for this event. I have no doubts that it will open your eyes to a whole new world of South African music.
If you already know Cat String Theory, get your butts down there and show them some serious support.
You can find R.O.A.R (above Gandalfs), on Lower main Road, Observatory, Cape Town.
The entrance fee is a smile worthy R20.
The drinks are also very reasonable
Duncs.
