Espresso Lab best coffee

So who does make the best coffee in Cape Town?
Well obviously the answer to that question is difficult to answer. Everybody has their own taste and one man’s “best coffee” may be another man’s bitter swill. The obvious names seem to always pop up, like the well respected range at Origin Coffee and Giovanni’s super authentic atmosphere in Green Point.
However the best coffee in my eyes has to be a little place called Espresso lab Micro Roasters at The Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock.

I was first introduced to Espresso Lab by my wonderful girlfriend, who attends the college upstairs from the roaster. They spend many sleepless nights on projects, so you can just imagine what kind of saviour Espresso Lab has been for them. While I may not be some hardcore barista, I still enjoy a good cup of coffee that is prepared with not only spot on attention, but also with pride.
Let’s just say that the people running Espresso Lab really take what they are doing very seriously.
Not only do they make great coffee, but they are also a really great team who make you feel truly welcome. I appreciate the more relaxed vibe as compared to the raucous noise that assaults me whenever I go to a Vida E.
