Welcome back to the bane of our existence, a lovely yet chilly Monday. I would like to quickly send my congrats to Ndikol a really awesome tee dude.
Today sees us admiring a few of our leading local designers that have already produced some amazing t-shirts that have redefined ‘cool fashion’. Artist like Geocide, who created 28 Smurfs later, are really mixing things up in the springleaper’s community with fresh and engaging pieces of work. I am huge fan of the film 28 weeks later (who doesn’t like watching zombies eating brains?) and when I saw this t-shirt design that also incorporates a classic family cartoon that I enjoyed as a kid I knew I had to have it!
Saying that I have to also mention Sebell’s -The Night walkers, a classic alien’s tee that makes me shiver me timbers!! Haha. Remember Darkness lurks in every corner, or better yet terrorists lurk in every corner- Go Yanks.
Welcome one and all to the greatest show on Earth!!!!
Well ok perhaps it’s not a show…more of a competition.
Yes thats right, The greatest competition on Earth
The latest Springleap.com winner has been announced and lemme tell you it’s a serious goodie.
Here is a flaming big high five to June’s second winner Ndikol, for his styling minimal design entitled Momo.
This latest competition was definitely well contested, however it was obvious from early on that Ndikol was an artist to watch. Both his Momo design and his I Hate the Police design were sighted as possible winners for June…and for good reason.
Ndikol has a very minimalistic stylistic approach to design, which I find works extremely well with his own unique style. Personally I prefer extremely elaborate designs, however this month I was thrown a curve ball when Ndikol sent through his awesome designs.
I definitely think that his Momo design deserved to win this competition though.
One thing that always sells me on a design has to be yeti’s LOL. I love anything to do with these awesome mythical creatures. In many old tales the Yeti is a savage creature that stalks helpless/lost adventurers in snowy mountain ranges and gnaws on their bones MUHAHAH.
However it seems that Ndikol has taken the Yeti thing to a more positive plain than the classic variety. Just look how friendly and happy these Yeti’s look. Dude these mountain traversing furry fellows are the most chilled looking forest friends I have ever seen.
Nice one to Ndikol for winning the competition, we can’t wait to see what design you come up with next.
Don’t forget to vote on the latest Springleap.com competition.
Love and peace everybody.
