Sustainable Design

Eco Buildings


Hey dudes

Seems like everyone has jumped on the band wagon of ‘sustainable development’ or ‘sustainable this and that.’ This I can assure you is music to my ears. The latest addition to the growing list is self sustaining buildings. That’s right your house will, in the near future, be alive and it’s your duty as home owner to now keep this ‘pet’ of yours alive. Fair trade if it keeps you warm and dry, I’d say.

Most eco friendly buildings at the moment are ideas and designs in the pipeline with (as far as I know of) no actual high rise building or any buildings for that matter actually constructed. Sure there are a few houses where home owners have added on this and that for energy requirement that are eco friendly and reduce carbon emissions but nothing that completely lives off itself. fur fashion

fur is for fools


 


Good morning everybody.

There has always been a fine line between fashion do’s and fashion “hell no’s”. However there is one fashion trend that I am very glad to see on the decline, that being fur fashion.
Nothing annoys me more than some rich idiot at a lavish party draped in some poor little dead animal.
It’s honestly disgusting to see such an abysmal display of encouraged cruelty. I’m so happy that PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has such a diligent group of crusaders that go out there and make the evils of the fashion world known. Fur fashion must GO!

I don’t know what goes through people’s minds when they strut their stuff in a huge fur coat. I sometimes wonder if the people that wear fur fashion actually care about animal at all. Imagine you grabbed their little Chihuhua and turned it into a soft and cuddly purse. Not so funny now is it????
PETA is famous for the slogan, “I’d rather go naked than wear fur”. Chances are you would have at one time or another spotted one of the
‘no-holds-barred’ advertisements that PETA has become famous for. While these adverts may be shocking for us at first, I personally think they are vital in order for people to become more aware of the shocking tragedies that go on behind the scenes in fashion.
