The Zero Fest wasn’t the only music festival going down over the Easter weekend, we also had a bit of trance music that came in the form of the Vortex party.
When I say that the party was on fire….I mean literally: it was on FIRE.
The Springleap.com team was at Vortex doing a bit of the ol promotion/selling thing and was there to witness the unfortunate turn of events that sent revellers heading for the hills.
After an awesome weekend of mega jolling and smooth sailing a calamity struck on the last day, a fire broke out and quickly got out of hand.
How it started seems to still be a mystery.
Was it’s started by a cigarette or maybe even a stumbling hippy with a bong….I’m not sure if we will ever find out the cause.
However, details suggest that the fire started away from the event and that strong winds blew the flames towards the tents and party goers.
