What do you think is the most “hands on” style of design around?
For me, ceramics is undoubtedly ‘top of the pops’ when it comes to getting down and dirty with your artwork and 100% experiencing what you are creating.
Molding something by hand is NOT EASY, I take my hat off to the men and women that create ceramic artwork for a living…or even for fun.
Ever since I watched that pottery wheel scene from the movie Ghost, I’ve been fascinated…and no, not just in Demi Moore LOL.
I believe that most art forms can be self taught if you give it enough time and effort, that is except for ceramics and pottery which I believe requires a ‘student & master’ approach.
If you don’t have somebody to point you in the right direction in ceramics you can take a seeeriously long time to tweak out problems.

What is it about? The campaign is a t-shirt competition where two high school students, designer and marketer, team up and compete against other teams to win and aims at encouraging adolescents to nurture their talents and create a drug free future for themselves.. Who can enter? All grade 10, 11 and 12 learners. Why get involved? This is a great opportunity to start a portfolio if you are interested in pursuing a career in design or marketing. What can you win? The two winners of the competition each receive a three year bursary to study at AAA School of Advertising! And runners up will also receive some awesome goodies.
