The next ‘denim jeans’ of fashion

The next ‘denim jeans’ in fashion

When I was a kid the craze was all about bell bottoms. Does anyone remember those platform shoes that had a solid wedge of what could’ve been a brick as the sole? I remember them really well, but only because I never got a pair (my sister did though). The Spice Girls Scetchers range. OMW! What a hit!

When your grandmother is showing you photo’s of when she was young and you’re thinking “What the hell were you thinking?”! These fashions are now something of the past (thank goodness!), but I still can’t help wonder what our grandkids are going to think of us when they dig up the millions of long lost photo’s we’ve posted on facebook! Crazy hair, piercings galore, alien shades…

What fashion will be acceptable to them? Or will they be wearing a re-repeat of the old trends we’ve taken to the streets as fashionable classics? Unlike many things in our lives, history has repeated itself in fashion. Yes, there are cool new inventions and random ‘burger dresses’ popping up all over the web, but who actually buys that poo?

So I’d like to know from you all. What is the next big step in fashion? Does the possibility exist for something fashionably profound to evolve that could take over the popularity of legendary denim jeans?

Gimme a shout if you got sumthing to say!

Have a great weekend!:)

    Yeah Loko.
Fashion is a perpetual recycling action, you will find that fashion of the past has a way of coming back to bite you in the ass when you least expect it.
Originality is hard to come by and in this day and age it will take something serious to change the way we dress ourselves.
I find that fashion trends are usually adapter or updated through the use of fabrics…you know take an old idea and give it a fun twist by using a material that wasn’t even around when the item in question was created.
Crap like the hamburger dress will never become anything enduring…how can it, its more suited for once a year on Halloween LOL.
    Whats next?
Well word on the street is that the borders between male and female will start to blur…that means gusy wearing garments with cleaner lines and more feminine fabrics….in a sense androgynous creations.
I fear the day my son comes home and wants to wear a long silky skirt…perish the thought hahaha. ;)
