Ello ello, greetings greetings.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder…indeed art can be seen in the same way, opinion is what measures the worth of anyone or anything.
Art in general is such a huge and varied experience that sticking a price tag on any given piece is near impossible.
Valuing an artwork based on age and the artists already rooted popularity are the most obvious ways of determining a piece…however do we give an artwork more credit than it’s worth.
One popular poke we as “normal” men on the street who seldom buy expensive artworks is that abstract artwork is absolute rubbish that anybody can achieve.
Personally I am not a fan of abstract artwork, I find that understanding the piece and truly understanding the latent emotion is pretty much unreachable…that is besides the artist who actually put it together.
Whenever I hear an “expert” talking about something abstract I always seem to frown because I wonder if they actually know whats going on, or if they are just spouting nonsense.
