Wall Painting

wall bumps

Painting a sign…easy peasy pudding and pie…stick your finger in your eye :P

Whoever said sign painting was easy never tried to do it on the Springleap outside wall.
When I say this wall is difficult to paint on I really mean it….it’s like what Everest is to mountain climbers.

You must be asking yourself what’s so difficult about painting a sign on a flat wall…well for those of you who have had a close look at our wall you will know that the surface can best be described as a lunar landscape.
Flat?! Dude it’s about as flat as the Drakensburg mountains….I’ve taken a snap for you to have a look for yourself…it truly is an artist’s nightmare….Michelangelo never had to deal with this kinds kak.

Oh well poor Dave has been pulling out his hair the last few days…especially when he has me as a “back seat” sign painter LOL…I wanted him to change a colour or two which can really be a pain in the bum when dealing with this bumpy wall.
However Dave is a true trooper and is soldiering on through my “insightful suggestions”….sorry Dave :D
Dude if I had to paint on that surface I think I would have thrown myself in front of Sea Point traffic by now.

Keep trucking Dave bud, sign painting is definitely not a walk in the park, but u will get there.

Duncs.

i really appreciated what a mission this is after i popped in to say hi to the Double D’s yesterday afternoon. painting the springleap logo onto a bumpy wall is a CHALLENGE, but D2 is getting there fast (sorry David - Duncan was at the shop first so he gets the D1 title LOL)
