Hiya one and all.
Unlike yesterday it seems that the weather in Cape Town has decided to play nice and the sun is out in force…just as the weather is warmer, so too are the dispositions of the general public…which is cool for us here in the store.
The reason why we prefer happy people is because we are well aware that human emotion has a domino effect on the world around us.
Check it out: a dude wakes up and gets a call from his girlfriend, she can’t see him today because she needs to have a “talk” with her ex-boyfriend, the dude is obviously annoyed and stumbles out of bed and hits his toe.
These two incidents now set his mood in a mega negative way…the wrath of which then gets visited upon the next person he sees…for argument sake let’s say it’s his gardener (landscape architect) who is minding his own business trimming a hedge where the before mentioned grumpy dude come out and screams at him to do his work and make it good…the gardener who was having a good day is now p1ssed off and thus the vicious domino effect of emotion continues from person to person as the day goes on.
