in cape town, eSquared and springleap.

One thing’s for sure, working at eSquared in Sea Point takes a certain type of person.
You have to be outgoing and ultra friendly to everybody that walks through the door…but at the same time u need to be able to defend the store from criminals and bad peeps as if you were guarding the Crown Jewels…our T-shirts are like treasure dammit LOL.
It’s kinda like tai-chi…soft, yet at times hard.
Our latest crew member goes by the name of David and is helping us draw up awesome concept sketches for the mural we want to do for the outside of the shop.
I will have those pics up for you soon enough and keep you informed as to what we decide on…and of course what the building owners let us put up *fingers and toes crossed*, but in all honesty we aren’t really worried because the designs that David has done thus far are killer cool.
The only thing left for David to do now is learn how we work here at eSquared and tune himself to the shops own special frequency….which is usually very mellow and perfect for his artistic side.
I’ve added a pic of David on the side here so that you know who to wave to when you come and visit us here at the store.
In this pic you also catch a glimpse of David’s “weapon of choice” …which is the timeless 3B pencil which in many ways is the trouble shooter of the pencil world…it’s not too heavy or too light, but juuust right.
So without further ado let me welcome the latest member of the eSquared/Springleap family, the very funky and artistic dude, David.
Take a bow bud, welcome to the team.

Hi there everybody.
Sick of all these DJ/turntable designs, that all look as similar as the next?
73cruiser is here with a unique twist on the whole over played DJ mixer design and brings you something truly fresh…well Fresh Jams that is.
Fresh Jams is a design that really stuck out in the music genre for this competition.
Its’ very rare these days to find a musically inspired design that really makes you stop and stare…in every case when we do find true originality they fly to the top of the Springleap charts, much like another musically inspired design for the month of May, Flight of the Bumblebee.
One thing’s for sure people can’t get enough of music and hot designs…it’s always a winning combination that people flock towards….as was once said in Wayne’s World, ”Book them…and they will come.”
I guess the same applies to t-shirt design

in interesting and video.

Hi there one and all.
I’m sure that many of you, especially the finance savvy among you, would have heard about the huge global investment bank Lehman Brothers going into liquidation on September 14th.
It sent ripples across the financial world causing major unrest and frantic buying/selling in just about every market.
Look I know very little about all this financial stuff, so I’d rather let you check out the full story by clicking here. The New York Times did a good write up about the collapse and the events leading up to it.
My job as always is to look for insane things that have something to do with what most people call “serious stories”.
In this case I have to let you know about a news clip on CNN that has two guys having a full on sultry interlude, right behind the news presenter…it was absolutely hilarious.
The guys were in the middle of one of the biggest financial melt down in ages and they still had the balls to do something as crazy as this on camera.
I’d love to know what was going through their heads when they did this, were they part of one of the groups that made a lot of money in the crash….or maybe they lost everything and thought “to hell with it”.
When you see this clip you are going to freak out.
Cruise on over to The Register to check out this scene….CLICK HERE.

Greetings guys and girls.
I think it’s about time we have a look at the insanely brilliant design by our winner for Springleaps May competition.
This design is called Complex Thought and hails all the way from South America, the designers name is Joserosero.
Complex Thought is not only an intricate and superbly executed design but it also has deep meaning and cleverly pondered subject matter.
Joserosero came up with this design when he was thinking about the link between ideas and implementing them into a concept.
He says that no matter how complex an idea becomes, if it does not work with the concept you have come up with…perhaps it’s better to move on and try something from a different perspective.
Wise words indeed from Joserosero.
