Hi there all.
eSquared has always been a coastal joint….We originally opened in Durban and then subsequently opened another eSquared down here in Cape Town.
Every year we have guys and girls come down from Joburg and go crazy over our unique and brilliant designs.
We also sign up loads of inland peeps who join our eSquared member’s list when they are down on holiday or business.
We have sales all the time down here, but obviously seeing as that there is no store in Johannesburg, the members up there don’t get much of a chance to take advantage.
Well, there is one event that happens that you guys can take advantage of….and that is the International Fashion Sale that happens every 6 months in Johannesburg.
This show sees popular labels as well as funky boutiques, unique stores and other retailers bring together surplus stock and sell it at prices that are waaay lower than the average market price.
We at eSquared will have a load of our cool design on show including the April & May Springleap gear, as well as other designs that will blow you away.

Here comes the ultimate pimp fro…..errr YO.
Todays Tshirt of the Day is a design that is backed full of serious funk-deluxe energy.
One of the most symbolic hairstyles of the urban culture and youth of the 60’s-70’s has to be the formidable afro.
Souf’s winning design Afrolution combines the power of the fro with some forward thinking design might.
Afrolution came into being when Souf was pondering over the famous evolution of man pictures and wondered if he could apply it to the evolution of the afro…needless to say he could and did a fine job in the process.
Whenever I look at this design it not only makes me think of evolution but also the power levels of the ultimate pimp 
Ok so maybe I’m making a gross generalisation of the stereotypical pimp….which is usually clad in a bakkie load of bling and a purple velvet suit LOL.

The world is a dangerous place.
Every country in the world has its fair share of danger. For us in South Africa it ranges from taxi violence to armed robbery…heck if you wander into the bush you could get taken out by a wild animal….but hey it’s Africa and we are used to it right?
Even though other countries have better ways of combating crime and have high tech systems to track down criminal with CSI like teams, they still have amazing stuff up’s every now and then.
Let’s talk about the United States as a prime example….ok they have their fair share of violence and murders, although nothing compared to us here in deep dark Africa, but what they do have is an extremely powerful military that is in the hands of sometimes less than efficient people.

It’s a fabulous Monday morning here in the Mother City and I feel like showcasing a fun and funky design to start off the week with some style.
In our Monday morning quest for a kick bum Tshirt of the Day I decided to go with the insane design from Amarillo called Wooden Face.
I’m a huge fan of Amarillo’s work as it’s some of the most bizarre/abstract work I’ve seen on Springleap…gotta love the crazy designs.
However, even though at times his work can be super insane, it still makes you ponder and think deeply about what is going on in the image….”Food for thought” if you will.
So what’s going on in the Wooden Face design?! Well Amarillo doesn’t really give us much of a description with this design so you really have to put on those imagination goggles and have a good look.
For me the deranged Wooden Mask has a certain element of dementia to it, which makes me instantly think of an ancient Norse Loki mask.
