Hi there everybody.
Have you ever got the feeling that technology is out to get you?
I’m not talking about Skynet launching a massive nuclear attack or The Matrix imprisoning our fleshy bodies in battery cell fish tanks…that’s a bit too forward thinking, we are not quite there…yet.
However there are times when we just have to stop and ponder if our computers or appliances are plotting against us.
Have you ever sat at your computer trying to get it to perform a simple function, it takes ages, you swear at it, you scream, you threaten to throw it into a koi pond…the usual right?! And then some other person comes along does exactly the same thing and hey presto it works perfectly…that computer should pay for your blood pressure pills.
It knew what you wanted and held back just to piss you off.
You have to ask yourself, what are computer chips and stuff made from, silicone right? Well there is talk that silicone is actually a living thing…almost like an organism, now that’s pretty scary don’t you think?
The machines are plotting and waiting to strike.
There was an interesting incident just a little while back when a South African man was almost blown up by his own fridge…..I’m not even joking.
The guy was supposedly minding his own business making a milkshake in the kitchen when the fridge went KABOOOOM.
Luckily he had his back to the fridge and only took damage to his shoulder and back from a flying fridge door…if he was facing it, or worse, digging for something in it he could have blown his face off or worse…be dead.
You can imagine the shock of Adrian Coetzee, of Silver Lakes, Pretoria when the blast ripped through his home sending food and shrapnel flying into him.
Although Adrian sustained minor injuries his house supposedly took tons of damage, including of course the kitchen as well as the garage roof…it even blew out the lounge windows.
So why did his fridge blow up?
Well to tell you the truth it’s still a bit of a mystery actually.
What is know is that Mr. Coetzee’s housekeeper reconnecting the power to the kitchen appliances after the owner had noticed they had stopped working the night before.
The bomb squad was called in and found no explosives whatsoever and even a Samsung team of engineers and managers couldn’t determine what the explosion was triggered by.
An independent refrigeration expert was called in by the insurance company and after he dug around a bit said that the blast may have been caused by something inside the fridge, not an actual fridge component.
But with all the theories on the exploding fridge there is no concrete answer…there’s only if’s and maybes at this point.
So just in case you feel a little too safe in your homes, look at your computer and common house hold appliances and wonder if those little flashing red lights are actually looking at you with malicious intent and just waiting for you to turn your back so they can unleash a terrible attack.
I’ve feared it for a long time, a computer take over where appliances become the Machine Army’s front line soldiers.
Think how many of us carry cell phones in our pockets…imagine if they all spontaneously self destructed….that’s a lot of casualties in the groin ward….OUCH.

Magnets and mirrors bru -it’s all done with magnets and mirrors.
I recon this was a secret military experiment involving exlopding fridges -
You know… terrorist just haaaanging around his kitchen… making his usual couscous and hummus salad sandwich, when BAM!!! Out of nowhere!!! Exploding military fridge to the head! Bam!
Just like that.
yeah.
bam.
i’ve seen coke cans getting too cold in other fridges before. not pretty!
Hmmm so u reckon its a human factor eh Eran….its a def possibility, there are some seriously whack black ops teams from the military dude…maybe they were from the CCAS (Covert Culinary Assassination Squad). Just like them to use poor South Africans as their targets…sick man.
Yeah E exploding cold Coke cans…I’ve witnessed that evil first hand.
