It’s raining its pouring it’s so freaking boring.
Yeah it’s that time of the year when staying at home wrapped in a blanket of warmth is the only way to go.
We can’t go to the beach or even take a simple hike up the mountain…well unless u feel like getting lost, tripping on a dassie and going head first down a ravine.
So what can we do then? The usual answer is hire some DVD’s or watch the telly…because TV sucks and has very little to offer these days the first option is the way forward.
The problem now is that a DVD new release will hit you for about R17…extortion I tell you.
However there is an easier way of getting new and old DVD’s for next to nothing.
Surely you have heard of PushPlay?
PushPlay is in essence a DVD club where you pay a set fee for a DVD every month and the faster you watch the DVD’s and return them the faster you receive more titles. Confused? Don’t worry I was at first but it’s actually dead simple.
Think of it like this: Firstly you pay for a “DVD slot” which will cost you R89.
Secondly go to the PushPlay.co.za site and choose the DVD’s you like from an extensive library of old and new titles…heck they even list titles that are still on circuit so that you can book them before they even come out.
Once you have chosen the titles you dig the PushPlay guys will send the DVD straight to your doorstep…when you have watched it and want to receive your next DVD simply pop it in one of many orange PushPlay boxes that are situated for your convenience.
Obviously you can find one right here at eSquared Cape Town.
As soon as PushPlay receives the DVD back they will send your next one.
IE: the faster you watch the movie and return it the more DVD’s you will get for your money.
Pretty damn cool hey? Thats NO late fees everybody
Theres a whole host of different price schemes you can go on, the most popular being the 3 DVD option where you will at any one time have 3 different DVD’s and juggle them with the ones you have already seen…this means you will basically always have something to watch and it’s not just the latest movies, heck you can get your favourite series, art house, cartoon or anime.
This is undoubtedly going to be a service that will take off in the future…in the US and Europe they already have similar companies…but PushPlay is a South African first.
Shoot on over to the PushPlay site and check it out for yourself…it might just be the answer to your entertainment needs this winter….or summer for that matter.
As long as you love movies you can’t really go wrong with this service.
Duncs.

big push for push play !!
I hope so, its a great platform for entertainment…we are really stuck in the past in SA we need to get with it.
This is a great step in the right direction.
*fingers crossed*
sheez this is such a cool idea!!!
