Hows it going aye?
Earlier today I wrote a blog about the insanity going on with our criminal justice system, so I thought it would be a great idea to throw in a funny police story from overseas. Here’s a great one all the way from Canada.
Canada unlike us has an exceptional police department combined with a system that works, it’s a first world country and acts as such. However there are obviously going to be bad guys running around wherever you go…it’s human nature and all that.
So how about if the criminal is unarmed and needs to be “subdued”, what’s the police tactic in Canada?! Well it involves a taser with ranged effect. Basically it is a taser (electronic shocking device) that shoots out wires with barbs on the end, they stick in your skin and then a serious current of electricity is passed through it.
Whether you are a skinny little dude or a behemoth tank of a man…you will go down, tasers are not fun when you are on the receiving end.

Greetings all.
What’s your opinion on taking down a criminal element everyone?
Ok so these days in South Africa the Police have a very direct way of subduing a criminal, usually by suppressive fire.
Maybe you heard the story of our very own South African deputy security minister (Susan Shabangu), telling the police how they should deal with criminals…”kill the bastards” was his very “enlightening” comment, which has sparked serious debate across the globe.
Look I’m all for a serious clamp down on the escalating crime situation in South Africa, but to tell your police officers that they have the right to just go crazy with the shoot to kill initiative is just insane.
Shabangu told the police officers that they didn’t even have to fire warning shots, rather to take the shot and kill the criminals. This is out right savagery in my opinion.
It’s like cowboys and Indians out there. What will happen when the police start shooting instead of thinking? Innocent people are sure to get caught in the crossfire.
