I love movies, especially fantasy, sci-fi and super hero flicks.
Growing up I was always obsessed with being an actor alongside my favourite characters. How cool would it be to play Robin, kicking bum with Batman or maybe even some evil henchman that gets beaten up by Bruce Lee…I’d pay good money to be beaten up by Bruce Lee, rest his soul.
One man went that extra step and made his dream a reality. That man is Carl Kelly from Knebworth in the UK.
The fact that Carl is a salesman maybe explains how he could have pulled one over on the film set security and indeed the director and film crew themselves.
Carl was in Las Vegas on holiday to watch a big boxing match when he heard that they were shooting in the casino for the upcoming Ironman movie. He reckons he walked up to security and told them that he had forgotten his pass inside and they totally believed him, dude that casino needs new security.
He reckons he managed to convince them because he had an English accent, LOL, that’s just hilarious.
I really have to take my hat off to Mr. Kelly, that was some seriously crafty ninja access you managed there.
Can you imagine getting to act alongside Paltrow? It must have just been one of the best inside jokes of the year. I mean Carl Kelly has no acting experience at all, he just sat there for like 6 hours with the extras and managed to get some film time, that’s so funny. Supposedly it took him take after take to get it right…although considering he’s not a professional it’s not surprising.
He also missed his flight back to the UK, but reckoned “I had to shell out for a new flight but after blagging my way on set I felt I couldn’t do a runner as they would have to start from the beginning.”
What a nice dude.
Well done Carl, that was one sly move. *highfive*
Oh and in case you are wondering Carl is the guy sitting on the far left in the dark jacket. I can’t wait to see his moves hahaha.
