What the hell????
Ok so you remember yesterday I was ranting at full speed about that ship that was bound for Zimbabwe laden with heavy weaponry?
Well, supposedly while they were still at anchor they heard the news that the Durban High Court had denied permission for the cargo to be transported across our soil and less than an hour after the verdict they lifted anchor and pissed off.
Did I miss something here? Firstly the government is adamant that it can’t stop them as we have no trade law embargo against the two nations, but then suddenly the Durban High Court tells them to stuff off.
You have no idea how mystified yet stoked I am. I really thought we were gonna sit back and let them walk right over us, literally.
This really makes me wonder if at some level our judicial system is split on decision making. This is really bizarre to me.
It must have been a hilarious scene to watch, as they got the news they started preparing to sailand as the sheriff of the Durban High Court started walking towards the ship it started sailing hahaha…that’s like something out of a comedy flick.
I wish that bloody ship would sink and take all that weaponry to the bottom of the ocean forever…well that is if it doesn’t leak all its oil into our ocean.
So now what? Well the ship supposedly might be headed Mozambique way and they say that they will apply similar restrictions on the ship. Fanatastic. I hope they never reach Zimbabwe, they can turn around and stuff off back to Asia with all that crud.
What does China stand to lose if there’s a government change…contracts I’m sure, military deals, cheap mineral acquisitions. There must be a list as long as my arm.
So my apologies to the guys who stepped up to the plate and batted those weapon spreading spreading bitches out of our waters.
I have a glimmer of hope once again
