Tattoos and the Big Bad Yakuza in Japan

chiba_woman_tattoo_by_boost_samurai

I have always said that if I were to have a tattoo then I am getting ink done in Japan – but HARDCORE.

Japanese Tatoos absolutely rock on EVERY level – it is a massive spiritual experience having a tattoo and the amount of detail and the fine lines are achieved freehand using old school techniques that involve big pain.

The Technique : a stick with loads of needles that is tapped into the victim canvas (that’s u!!!) with a small hammer repeatedly – and it takes AGES – like for a full tshirt tattoo it would take something like a month or two. Good luck. The other method is equally painful – a stick with loads of tiny needles repetitively shoved into the area of illustration. Lovely. Crime time

handcuffs.jpgOh boy, I am going to court.YIKES!!!About a month ago I was in the Durban shop by myself and was involved in a shop lifting incident. It wasn’t something very fun to be a part of, but the whole situation was sorted out rather quickly thanks largely to the help of the Blue security guys. However, after the whole event I was left a little rattled and ready to rage.

So I received my court papers today and because of these clowns who tried to steal seven, yes seven, of the same shirt, I am going to have to miss a day of work. I honestly am sick of crime and I hope these two go down in a big way.I understand that some people are desperate, but crime is crime. What makes this situation even worse is that the next day; the shop was hit by two women who took five of the same shirts that we recovered from the previous day. It is common knowledge that eSquared stocks the funkiest kit out there, but come on! Twice in two days, no ways José!

So I’m ten days away from first court appearance. I will keep you posted and let’s hope these suckers go down.

Butan Taxi

taxi

Greeting and salutations my friends.

So when was the last time you screamed TAXI and flagged down a possible ride into hell itself?
Taxi’s are infamous in South Africa because of the danger factor, sure it can be very dangerous and every day there seems to be massive accidents and heavy casualties.
My fingers are crossed for a South Africa where anybody can jump in a taxi without fear.
Butan has a super slick new design that we simply call Taxi, which takes out the fear and slaps on the funk of the taxi industry.

Grabbing a taxi anywhere else in the world is a normal everyday occurrence and in most cases will end with you arriving safely at your destination with a smile on your face…ok well maybe not a smile, I remember my first London cab experience, it did more damage to my wallet than a tsunami does to small fishing villages. There’s an issue in the taxi biz, with a line being drawn because of race and it really annoys me.
