LET THERE BE LIGHT.
So, ever wanted to be the creator of your own universe? I know we have at least a few megalomaniacs out there who would love their own mega domain to call their own…ok so who wouldn’t?
Plug in the Sun is today’s Tshirt of the Day and the creators Rocky have done a great job in showing us just how a “modern day deity” goes about getting his world in order.
So you are a newly appointed god and you have to make your first world and fill it with plants, mountains, seas and of course animals. You have carved out the rock face and smoothed it out like a titanic blob of play dough. Next the seas, you rush over to your celestial river in the stars and cup some of the life giving liquid into your hands….and then gently sprinkle it over the mountains and splash the rest into your sea bed…maybe grind a bit of salt into the sea and voila you are almost there. Snap your fingers and the bushes and trees sprout out the earth in an instant…with a thought, animals are created and you position them around your planet as you see fit. Ok so what next…everything’s done…hmmm so, why are the animal so lazy and walking into all the trees?? Oh right, better Plug in the Sun.
Plug in the Sun can be seen in many “lights” but for me it’s an omnipotent being creating a new world. Everybody looks at these designs differently and no doubt there will be hundreds of different interpretations. Although I can see it being as easy as I described to make a planet if you were a “super all powerful deity”, the only thing I can’t picture is that creator wearing workers overalls and a baseball cap….he should at least not be wearing any shoes and have a swing made out of clouds.
