And even better, I don’t ever have to walk into that silly institution call school ever again (all those years of hard work paid off).

Who is the top South African designer?
I was thinking about this question a few days ago, and couldn’t come up with an answer.
Firstly, you get the well known “celeb” type South African designer maestro’s - the designers who everyone wants to spend an absolute fortune to get to design their outfits.
Then you get the trendy or upcoming designers who are featuring their creations in places such as YDE, and eSquared.
But is there a central place or book our magazine that agrees at any one time who the top South African designer is?
With tennis you get the ATP rankings, and can spot at any time how good a particular tennis player is by looking at the rankings.
With fashion it’s not that simple - sure it’s a individual choice - but there should be some way of knowing who is thought to be the top South African designer at the moment.
That is one of the reasons why our new website, springleap is so exciting. Designers can submit tshirt designs which get entered into a monthly competition - and then YOU vote on how good you think a design is.
We’re going to work hard to find the top South African Tshirt Designer…
