Ello Ello Everybody.
Dropping to the ground at the sound of gunshots, watching an ATM get pulled out the wall by a stolen bakkie or perhaps getting tied up and gagged to your lazy boy by an unauthorized person in your own home. The Tshirt of the day is inspired by these normal daily occurrences, in good ol’ Joburg. The funniest thing about this design is that it was done by the local label Love Jozi.

This design by Love Jozi is indeed a smart and cute little design, although I have gotten a few funny looks during the holiday season from a few Joburg locals….and understandably so. Grumpy Jozi is perhaps an inward look at the lifestyle they have up there, Gangsters Paradise as it’s aptly known, is no walk in the park. Being a Joburg label I think Love Jozi can get away with making a design like this, I’m sure all hell would have broken loose if it was a Durban or CT design J
Following the trend of this seasons Love Jozi gear, the design is smaller and simple in comparison to last season’s loud designs, but it works really well. I enjoy the material of the shirt itself, very soft and feel’s amazing against the skin. It’s a good quality garment that’s for sure.
Not sure if I’m too sold on the design but it’s a great play on the old favourite of Mr. Smiley.
What do you all think, would I get beaten up in the street if I wore it in Joburg or would it all go down as if aided by a spoon full of sugar?
