Greetings everybody.
Time once again for the Tshirt of the Day. Lately I’ve been show casing our very talented local flava and today is no different. We are all getting pumped up over the local brand Fiftees designs because….well because they are super high grade weapons quality designs that blow everybody away with a TNT kaboom to the brain.
Todays Tshirt of the Day from Fiftees is entitled: Africa Unplugged.
There has been a keen interest in musically inspired designs lately, from the classic “I’m Playing” design from last season, or the retro “8 track” print, even the very modern funk design “Electronic Psychotrope” from Tuning has a music base.
In a similar fashion the local designers have been busy with their own designs of this genre.
Fiftees Africa Unplugged is a fantastic stylized image of Africa done with audio cables in a carefully wound fashion…the effect is very unique.
Inside the Africa design there are also images of birds flying, which in my opinion add a fantastic organic feel to the colder tech element. The birds are a sign of freedom that enhance the designs natural vibe and fusion of modern and natural facets. It’s a great combination and something that most of the many other music designs lack.
I’ve seen similar versions of this design from other labels and of course on the net, but none quite as simplistic yet effective as Africa Unplugged…it’s some serious genius from the Fiftees crew, nice one dude’s.
