Ello dere.
Ah yes humans. Humans think that they are the ultimate beings on this rock we call Earth. Evolution, the process by which a creature changes and adapts to survive his surroundings, is a well documented fact…honestly if you don’t believe in evolution you have your head stuck in the sand …or another place where little sunshine falls. Just how powerful have we become after all these years since we crawled out from the deep blue sea? Graphic Playground has devised a very appropriate design to show us how far we have indeed crawled. Evolution.
Who knows where it started, maybe we were fish that after thousands of years of climate change needed to move onto the land to find a more abundant food source. Maybe we started underground and burrowed our way to the surface….nobody really knows for sure. But, the fact that we are in a constant flux of change is obvious. Just ask your dentist about the amount of people needing to get bracers for their teeth, our jaws are getting smaller! Why? Well in this day and age we chew our food a lot less than we had to in the past….food is now processed, tenderized, creamed…basically anything to make the act of eating more pleasurable/easy. As a result our jaw line is EVOLVING and getting smaller with disuse.
Man creates bombs that can destroy entire cities, we make factories that pollute our air and we breed with reckless abandon….man highly evolved? I don’t think so. While other creatures find an equilibrium with their surroundings, we most certainly do the opposite. We have gotten to a point in our evolution where I think we have gotten too smart for our own good.
