Greetings all.
Shooo so as you may know I was away in George for my festive holiday this year. I had an awesome time and I got at least a little of what I wanted to get done sorted. Unfortunately that part of SA got drenched heavily and messed up my dream of a super duper sun drenched fry-fest. Was a bummer to go all the way there intent on sizzling my skin to a red mush, only to return with a piss poor tan that my friend from England laughed at….I’m soooo ashamed LOL.
Luckily my first two days in George were filled with sun and surf, it felt so good to be able to jump into the sea and not freeze to death instantly, Clifton water just doesn’t agree with me brrrrrr. I even managed to squeeze in a game of golf lol.
The fun part about the golfing was that I had never (in all my 26 years on Earth) played a game a single round, putt-putt most certainly doesn’t count. Although my putt-putt skills, which are actually pretty crap, were the only thing to save me. My long game is honestly pretty horrific and other poor hapless golfers intent on a relaxing day on the course had to duck and cover from my brutal attacks.
Okok, so I still came last, but hey I only lost by like 2 shots. I think in golf there’s one shot or one hole that will make you come back and play again, I managed to finish par (3) on one of the holes, much to the annoyance of the others muhahaha…lucky shot I guess, it ran along the ground for most of the hole and bounced off a hill. All in all golf is one hell of an irritating sport, after playing I have a new found respect for the pros, they can smash their balls (doesn’t sound right does it) freaking miles and still be accurate….damn impressive.
I also realize why golfers drink so much, it seems to give you good bullet time (like from the Matrix) and helps with your aim…next time I will start drinking before I even get to the course…..it seems the more tense you are the worse you play. Although I hurl abuse like you can believe (I must have called my ball and every bush I hit every name in the book), if I was drunk it would only be worse. It was bad enough I picked up somebody else’s ball (it had the same number dammit) that wasn’t even with our group…anyway he probably didn’t say anything because my shot was better than his LOL.
Golf is not just for old people, or rich people for that matter…it’s for anybody who has the ability to not murder the people they are with and of course the will power to retain your cool in circumstances, that would otherwise, lead you to throw yourself in front of traffic.
