Last night I went to watch Bee Movie @ Cavendish.
It’s got a really impressive cast - Jerry Seinfeld does the voice of Barry B. Benson and Renee Zellweger does the voice of Vanessa.
Barry Benson is a bee who has just graduated from college, and is disillusioned at his sole career choice: making honey. He ventures outside the hive, and Barry’s life is saved by Vanessa, a florist in New York City. After breaking the Bee Rule and talking to Vanessa, he finds out humans eat honey without paying bees royalty’s and takes the matter to the high court…
Thinks it sounds a little far fetched? Perhaps, but Bee Movie got nominated for a Golden Globe.
Jerry Seinfeld has got some great “undercover” type humour if you listen carefully to Barry in Bee Movie.
And I loved the Bees driving cars and the Pollen Jocks.
I don’t care if the reviewers didn’t like it - I thought it was great.
PS: One of the trailers was for a movie called August Rush - looks BRILLIANT!
PPS: Telkom’s do broadband ad has to be one of the most stupid ads I’ve ever seen.
