Tshirts T-Shirts Tees or T’s

So it was late at night, late enough that the beers had flown, and the conversation had turned to all things stupid.

And the subject of discussion. The important topic of naming.

More specifically, what do most people call the Tshirt. Now you might be thinking, “what a stupid topic, a Tshirt is called a Tshirt”, but after we started having the discussion / argument / debate / chain saw massacre, we realised that not everyone calls a tshirt by that name. Some people call Tshirts Tees - is that a tongue twister or what.

The majority view point was that both names - tshirts & tees both had their place and it depended on the time and situation.

Tshirts was the most formal while Tees was used by the cult following of people who like to abbreviate everything. (as opposed to the group of people that like to add an “ing” or “ish” to the end of every word).

But it got more complicated as we then started ARGUING (and by now it was no longer friendly chatter), whether the correct spelling was Tshirts or T-shirts …and Tees or T’s.

Before the Tshirts T-shirts Tees T’s idle chatter turned into a fist fight, I managed to change the topic to Jeans.

But I’ll leave the denim ISH discussion we had on that to another day!
