Welcome to the Tzech Republic and thanks bunches for taking time out of your insanely busy schedules to read my little blog.
I’m reporting back on our fantastic talent in Durban. A place where the coffee is GREAT, the ocean is ALWAYS warm and the peeps are SUPA friendly!!! One other thing that makes Durban that much cooler than the rest of the universe is our insanely talented group of graphic design students, the Tzech Republic
It’s pretty crazy and extremely inspiring the young talent that Durban University of Tzechnology (DUT) is producing. This time every year the DUT graphic design department organizes an awards evening, at which their very talented 3rd year students exhibit their MARVELOUS portfolios at which the general public drool over.
Not only was this artistic night accompanied with a cash bar and free food (which was gone by the time I got there), but we got the treat of being entertained by Durban based bands C.R.O.S.S.I.N.G.P.O.I.N.T and Sibling Rivalry. Two very well known bands in Durban.
Our DUT graphic design department has been acknowledged as the best graphic design department in South Africa by the industry!! Our talented students snatching up awards from the SAPPI “Think Ahead Awards” 2006. These young talented DUT graphic designers are now plucked out of the Tzech Republic and thrown out into our crazy world, to take on the industry. Bringing us better advertising, illustrations and WebPages. So look out for their upcoming creations… Portfolio pics as soon as I can.
