Hello everybody out there.
When my girlfriend told me that her parents were going to take us to watch the Queen ballet, I was a little like….heeeere we go, I pictured myself falling asleep whilst drooling on some poor unfortunates shoulder (probably some refined dude with a shiny head). I dig Queen, my childhood was filled with memories of a crazy performer who was like energy personified….of course I always asked my parents why he wore such tight pants…put of course those answers come with maturity.
The performance was held at the Cape Town Artscape Theater, the dancer’s shared the stage with fantastic musicians (notably the insanely good lead guitarist, who mega rocks) and guest singers Duncan Royce, Luciano Zuppa and Golda Schultz (who has a operatic voice that can shatter most forms of matter…awesome).
Duncan and Luciano had a fantastic “chemistry” when they sang together, that even Freddie would have been proud of. The dancers for the most part were highly skilled, as I’ve alreday said, I’m no guru when it comes to ballet, however, as simple as my opinion may be, I’m not a fool when it comes to watching and knowing if people are messing up or not.
