The second invited designer on day 1 following Gideon was Malcolm Kluk.
I was really blown away here - the dresses were absolutely SUBLIME!
Malcolm really showed off his talent and experience in this range, using metal hues on flowing garments giving the impression of models clad in liquid silvers and haematite.
Hues ranged from black to greys, silvers and juxtaposed with the occasional splashes of gold.
Two pieces really stood out for me - the one depicted here - for the sheer elegance of the garment and the feeling of transparent flowing metal hues.
When one thinks of metals the concepts of transparency and fluidity are not immediate associations so when I see a piece like this my jaw literally drops!
The other one was a gorgeous 3/4 Kimono gown made from small squares of haematite - sort of a deep gunmetal - I was totally floored when I saw that piece - really appeals to the Asian in me.
BUT ERAN! You haint hAsian you say! eh. Whaaaaatevah! I says.
But seriously - Well done Malcolm!!! - this range was THE BOMB! Wearable and desirable!
